Lead Sources & Webhooks

A lead source connects a form or ad platform to Movra so every new enquiry lands in your inbox automatically. This guide covers webhook sources (like a Wix form) and how to map their fields — the reliable way, using a real test submission.

What "mapping" means

When a form is submitted, the form provider sends Movra a bundle of data (the "payload"). Mapping tells Movra which piece of that payload is the lead's name, which is their email, which is their phone, and so on. Once you map a source, every future lead from it is read the same way — you only do this once.

The recommended way: create → test → map

Form payloads are often nested and use technical field names, so the easiest and most reliable approach is to map from a real submission rather than guess:

  1. Create the source — skip mapping. In the "Add lead source" steps, leave the Map Fields step empty and continue. (Only fill it in now if you already know your payload's exact field names.)
  2. Copy the webhook URL Movra gives you, and paste it into your form provider (for Wix: Automations → "Send via webhook").
  3. Submit the form once as a test. This sends Movra a real payload, which is captured and held.
  4. Open the source's Settings. Your test submission appears there. Movra lays out each field it received — showing a friendly name and the actual value — so you can see exactly what's what.
  5. Map each field by picking which lead detail it fills (Name, Email, Phone, or one of your custom fields).
  6. Save. The mapping is stored on the source, so it applies to this test and to every lead that arrives afterwards.
  7. Reprocess the test (a button on the same page) to turn your held test submission into a real lead — a quick way to confirm the mapping is right.

What the lead fields mean

  • Name — the lead's name, shown at the top of their chat in your inbox.
  • Email — the lead's email address.
  • Phone — the lead's phone number. Movra normalises it to digits and uses it as their WhatsApp ID, so this is how the lead is matched to a WhatsApp contact.
  • Form name — the name of the form the lead submitted, handy for routing and reporting.
  • Custom fields — anything else you want to keep (for example, Gender or a dance interest). Create a custom field right from the mapping picker and it's saved on the contact — you can then route drip sequences on it.

Tips for Wix forms

  • Wix sends a friendly label with each answer, so the mapping screen shows Gender next to the value Male, even though the underlying field name is a cryptic code — you always know which field is which.
  • Prefer the clearly-labelled fields (like Email and Phone) over the raw code-named ones when a choice is offered — they're steadier if you ever tweak the form.
  • If a field you expected isn't there, submit the form once more with that field filled in — only fields that had a value in the submission show up.

Sending leads into a drip sequence

Each lead source can feed your follow-up drips. If different forms deserve different follow-up (say a Partner-dance form versus a general trial form), keep them as separate sources and point each drip at the sources it should enrol from. If you captured a field like Gender, you can also add it as a filter on the drip.
